Ryan has grown up in the world of Wedding Photography, working in the business since the age of 12, Australian Master Photographer, Ryan Schembri is one of the industry’s brightest stars.  At just 27 years of age he has achieved what most long-standing veterans of the industry see in a lifetime.

 In 2004 at the age of 20 Ryan became the youngest Master of Photography with the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers).  Now a double Master of Photography with the AIPP, Ryan has achieved international acclaim for his work being awarded the title of ‘Accolade of Exceptional Photographic Achievement’ from the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International).

In 2006 Ryan became the youngest winner of the title NSWAIPP Wedding photographer of the year. 2006 became a very big year for Ryan as he took home the titles of ‘International Wedding Print of the Year’ (winning the same award again in 2007) and ‘International Photojournalism Print of the Year’ in 2006 from the annual WPPI Conference in Las Vegas, USA.  Ryan’s long lists of accolades come from all parts of the world.

2006 saw Ryan speak to a sold out room at the DWF Conference in Las Vegas.  In 2007 Ryan toured Europe for an action packed four-week series of seminars educating other photographers around the world on his shooting styles and ‘Award Winning’ Photoshop techniques.  
Ryan has also launched a series of educational DVD’s for Photographers including the ‘Ryan Schembri Debut DVD’ which follows Ryan on a wedding day as well as two educational products ‘Freaking Out in Photoshop’ an intensive Photoshop training DVD and his ‘Creativita Artistica Actions’ set (a tool for assisting photographers with the finishing & retouching of their images).

In October of 2007 Ryan was also the keynote speaker at the WPPP convention in the Philippines.  Ryan was there for a little under one week sharing his knowledge and expert retouching and finishing techniques with a large crowd of excited & very enthusiastic fellow photographers.
Through his passion of pushing boundaries, Ryan has truly stamped his mark and style on the wedding photography world.  In March 2007 Ryan was commissioned to travel to Phuket, Thailand to photograph a couples wedding and is also set to travel to South Africa in 2008 for another overseas assignment.

Each year Ryan also competes and judges at the Annual Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA).  In 2007 Ryan was awarded with 2 Gold Awards, 1 Silver Distinction & 1 Silver Award.  Ryan is renowned for creating emotive, beautifully finished and dramatic images from each wedding couple he photographs both in Australia and all around the world.  

His upbringing being the son of well respected Australian Master Photographer - Martin Schembri stead him in good steed, from Ryan’s shooting style to his unparallel post production work, it is Ryan’s breath of fresh air in the industry that has caused him to become so well known & so highly respected.
